Default Thinking of purchasing a YF 29

For starters I dont care what any of your opinions are on which brand is faster or better. This is a question for those who have gone thru the process of having a YF built. How long does it usually take for the build? Can you go by the factory anytime to take a look? Thinking of a iceblue color with twin Yamaha 250s..Let me know your thoughts. Thanks

Yes, you can go to the factory on any business day. It is best to call ahead to make sure that Richard or Wylie will be there so you can get the full tour. I suspect that build time will be 8-10 weeks, although it may be quicker.

Here is a pic from today:

Man, pretty boat. Thanks for posting the pic. If I was seriously looking, I'd head down to Miami, and see them at the show.

I couldn't complain about anything, they were great to deal with. Wylie is a strait shooter, there is no BS in him he will tell it like it is. The 29' or the 32' is a great twin engine boat. You can stop buy the factory any day you want to take pictures. Ice blue is a nice color, my boat is Aqua mist and it goes good with dark green top and black motors. I love the powder coat t-top and would do it again in a heartbeat, it cuts down on maintenance. You can never have enough rod holders especially up top. Check out

They are simply great to deal with; very customer friendly and as said above a straight shooter.

I would take Wylie's word any day, he could not be better to work with.

You will enjoy the process; it will be fun.

good luck

i would guess it would depend on what motors you want....you have lots of options from economy rigged with Verado 200's 4 cylinders up to 70mph Yam350's or Verado 300's 6 cylinders. Your price will vary a ton right there.

I have never seen YF boats with e-tecs? 29 with twin 250s would be a nice set up..

Waiting because others ahead until build starts unknown. Typical build time about 4-6 weeks depending on model. Great to deal with first class operation.
