Default Transom Bench/Seating

Does anyone know of a company that makes a transom bench that could be bought aftermarket? I would perfer to have the bench directly bolted to the transom and have the ability to be fold for easy storage. This would be placed on a 38 Tiara.

Thanks guys for any help.

I thought I wanted a fold-up seat also.

I went with 2 of these instead.

Much more comfortable and secure seating

If they are not needed, they get left on the dock

I agree with ali'i kai. I had birdsallmarine make me a custom folding transom seat this past year. the quality of the product was amazing and i would buy from them again and again. chris

Desparado,

Is the bench attached directly to the transom or is it free standing?

Bluewater in FL made the one on my boat. It folds down and is removable.

I'm pretty sure that Birdsall makes the seat for Bluewater -- at least that's what they told me at the Tampa Boat Show.

Rmittauer,
the seat is hard mounted to the transom, but can be removed with locking pins which come with the seat. the seat also folds flat against the transom when fishing or when desired. in fact, the seat is pictured above. you can also see it at www.birdsallmarine.com. good luck with which ever direction you decide. chris

I'm looking for a replacement seat for my 1997, 37 ft. ray. It's shot and I can't find one anywhere. Any ideas??? I looked on Birdsall but they have nothing close

I'm making up a custom full width bench seat for my Tolman that will convert to a sundeck. See below for more details.

The final product will be very strong and light, clear varnish on mahogany.
