I have sen this term use on Boats, GMC Suvs, Rifles and other things i can't recall however no one has told me ------What a Denali is!!!-- Not in my Webster's ( 7th) addition dated 1971
if my memory is correct, DENALI national park is in alaska, thats where mount mckinley is. Kind of conjurs up images of rugged wilderness doesnt it. Tundra , explorer, expedition, sequioa, also, hmmm I see a trend.
Denali is actually the true name for Mount McKinley according to the native Alaskan's - it means "great one" or something very close to that.* I spent a summer up there and what a beautiful country!!* Great salmon fishing on the coast, too.

Denali, the "High One," is the name Athabascan native people gave the massive peak that crowns the 600-mile-long Alaska Range. Denali is also the name of an immense national park and preserve created from the former Mount McKinley National Park.
