Default Blackwater 27' CC Sport Fish

Anybody have any updates on this boat. There are some pics & prices floating around from the boat shows, but nothing on AMS (shearwater) website. Just says coming 2008. And none for sale I can find. The salesman said 62 mph with 200 V-rods and 80+ with 300 v-rods. Dont know how true that is but nobodys seems to know anything about this boat except it Looks good.

Was at the factory last week and had a chance to meet the owner and many of the people finishing up my second ShearWater ( kind of a cross between a Z2400 & a 25LTZ using the new hull and rigged with a F350), everybody from the owner on down could not have been any nicer or more accomidating, and that's saying a lot cause I'm a real pain in the ass when I have a boat built. They were working hard to have a Blackwood ready for the Naples Boat Show, I know the boat was designed for the F350 or Twin 200 Vrods, I don't think the 6cyl Vrods were ever a consideration. The owner told me that the performance numbers were very similar for both packages 60mph + loaded. There is a lot that goes into the construction of these hulls that give them the "solid as an anvil" feel when it gets nasty, unique and overbuilt would be an under statement....beautiful stuff.

Gorgeous, but what is it? The ultimate rough water bay boat? Looks to me like a pick your days offshore boat but with limited back country utility. What are the numbers, just curious...

My thoughts exactly. We saw this boat at the New Orleans show, should have took some pics of it. It was one of, if not the, prettiest boat there. But couldn't figure out if it was a bay boat, offshore, I guess it's some sort of hybrid. Somehow didn't catch the price either...Must have been running low on beer so my attention was else where...I'd be willing to bet it's upwards of $100K.

I had the opportunity to take a blackwood 27 for a test ride yesterday. Twin 300 Verados and 2.5 - 3.5 chop in the ashley river here in charleston sc made for a winner!! Boat is as solid as they come. Attention to detail is superb. 4 people on board and 60 gallons of fuel neted 71.4 mph on gps in the chop. Driest boat I have ever been on, size and height considered. Not one drop of water got us on a 20-25mph windy day. I can honestly say I would not be worried one bit on a four foot day offshore, more than that and any boat is gonna be rough.

Looked at this boat in Naples 2 weeks ago. 110,000 with twin 200 Verados. Might be the nicest boat I have ever seen. Would like to see it run. They deserve a look if you are looking for a large inshore boat.
