Read that Hydra-Sports is bringing back the smallest Vector but haven't seen any talk on here about it. Anybody seen the new layout? Can't find any pics on the net of it.
Man,It looks Sweet!!I have a 1995 2000 Vector/225 Optimax.I love mine.One thin I see is that Low Transom!It has a 150 on it and looks very low in the water,Can'timagine puttin' a 250 on it weight wise.WHY don't they make Boats like that with a 30" Transom???????????????I just don't understand!Am I missing something?
Looks like a nice every day single hand boat, (me)..PBM around the corner from me, I'm gonna look. Yeah that 150 looks a bit anemic on that beefy hull. That new 200 same block might be a better fit.
So far, I absolutely love my '99 2000CC. Yes, the down side is it takes a lot of HP to push this hull...But, the ride more than makes up for it. It looks as though the newer models will have a smaller 20 degree deadrise compared to the original 22 degree. There is no way an F150 could push my hull...I'm assuming Hydra-Sports is basing this CC off of this 2000WA hull http://www.hydrasports.com/mInfo.cfm?mid=5626 , which is not a Vector, as I'm assuming the CC version isn't either. It's most likely the Lightning Series.
Which, I gotta say dumbfounds me that HS changed from always using 4 numbers versus 3 numbers to designate their Vector hulls (ie: 2000CC versus 212CC)...Hmmm.

The new 20 center console and 20 walk around are both Vector models. They both have the Kevlar reinforcement.
The 20CC with the FRP T-top, premium option package and a 150 Yamaha will retail around $41k
The 20WA with a canvas top, premium option package and a 150 Yamaha will retail around $44k
The 20WA with a 150 Yamaha runs 40.8mph at 5800rpm's
A hard-top option is available on the 20WA, with the hard-top option I would up the power to a 200 or 225.
Both models have the Vector 10 year hull warranty and 3 years component warranty.

I'm not saying you're wrong, because I really have no idea. But, according to Hydra-Sports website, the 20 Walk is a Lightning Series hull. I do hope their website is wrong and I hope you are correct.
Ok, just read some interesting stuff about it on the website. I does say that it is kevlar reinforced so they must have just screwed up in putting it under the Lightning Series models on the website. What I really found interesting was the dry weight. The 2000WA is apparantly heavier than their 2200VX?

The boat should not be listed in the Lightning section on the Hydra-Sports website. I have already contacted the sales manager at the factory and they will change it.
The dry weight estimate of the 20wa seems high to me also. I'll call them and find out whats up with that.
