Default Heavy Duty Suction Cup Mounts

I saw some heavy duty suction cup mounts advertised recently, anyone have any contact info for such a product. I think they had different models for accessories such as hangers, rodholders etc... May have seen them on that boating show Ship Shape? Thanks

I bought one of their products. Somewhat pricey but worth it.

I second that. Sea Sucker products are great. They really do work as advertised.

I have two Sea Sucker scuba tank mounts. Each one can hold two tanks.

They do work great. I can stick them anywhere. And when I do not need them I can stash them so they are not in my way.

I also use the mounts as a handy place to hang a fender. If there is no cleat or rail handy - I can use the Sea Sucker mount. They actually get a lot of use in this manner.

They are really not suction cups. They are technically "vacuum" cups. There is a push button pump that removes air from behind the rubber cup. Once pumped out they may as well be bolted into place.

They are a bit on the pricey side, but they work well for me. I like that I can remove them and put them out of the way when I do not need them. Or move them around if they are in use and do get in the way.

Now, that was an interesting website. I had to believe that the design of the seasuckers was not new and questioned why we had never seen it before. This answers the question... Marketing... I do think that the seasucker product has been revamped to more appropriately meet the marine industry i.e. white cups and components, stainless hardware etc. They do work great.

I also looking at these. The 6 inch Vacuummounts claim a 70 lbs load, the 6 inch Sea Sucker claims to hold 200 lbs. Are they measuring their loads differently or is there really that much of a difference?

Ok, I can tell you the difference in why they are rated differently. I work for Wood's Powr-Grip, which makes the cups at vacuummount.com There are no rating standards for vacuum at this point in our country. He is rating them by the seat of his pants. We have a very high safety standard. Not only that, but we back our product.

Adding color to rubber changes the viscosity of the rubber. I would not trust that white rubber. He did not want to purchase the pads from us because we would not make it in white. But that is our design. We have been making vacuum equipment since 1964 and have the knowledge about the types of rubber and have the best mix for this purpose.

I am so glad I read these posts. I just watched his video and it is liable at best! In it the announcer states that Chuck engineered them. Not only did he not engineer them, but he buys components of those cups from us! I did not see him sitting next to me on the R&D bench in the early 80's putting trials together for the 6" cups. And the pump was hard to get right.

Sorry to rant.
