Great Idea . . . Thanks Guys

In responding to my questions about life rafts the guys suggested (very good ideas guys) that I bring copies of our prescriptions with us when boating . . . I will incorporate this into my binder

"Yup . . . I have a binder with COPIES of all my licenses, boat ownership and registration information, copies of all trailering permits . . . prescriptions . . . and drivers license and other ID including passport . . . the origionals of all my documents stay on shore

You know.....if I keep reading THT, eventually I will have so much stuff on the boat it won't float!
Seriously, I agree auguste, this site is responsible for many, many good ideas for me. I live in kinda' redneck fishin' neighborhood, and all my neighbors think I am some kind of wuss with all this safety gear etc.
Funny though they all want to go with me when we go offshore. The guy next door has a 22' bay boat and was going out 20+ miles with not even a VHF and didn't think twice about it. He is now looking at installing a VHF and getting a backup handheld.
Who knows this site may indirectly save someones life.

I know what you are saying . . . I fished lake Ontario for years . . . our cottage was 500 feet from a camp owned by about 8 fishermen . . . during that time they have all added VHF, GPS and a bunch of safety equipment . . . I guess they are seeing others around them and they are thinking . . . not a bad idea . . . also we are getting older
