Default Leaning Post Replacement Cushion?

The cushion on my leaning post has deteriorated beyond all hope of repair. It measures 37.5" across. I've found replacement cushions made for Todd leaning posts that are exactly that width. I think the Wise replacement cushion is the same width, too. If anyone has leaning posts made by either of these companies - how are the cushions attached to the leaning post? I don't want to get something that can't be attached to my current leaning post. I've contacted Stratos and they said they couldn't help me with a new cushion - they don't make offshore boats any more. Any other suggestions? Thanks!

The cushion on my Mako was good but we could not match the material and piping for the bow platform and CC cooler seat. As such, all cushions were replaced. Ya I know... The point being is that it might not be that much for the one piece and it could match up to your current snaps or whatever is holding it in place.

I don't know if he is on this board, but a guy ACASSIDY over on continuouswave restored an old Montauk, and he and his wife made the seat cushions. I don't know if they/she do outside work... but man what a job.

I got lucky on this issue, abet not quickly lucky.** My 21 Seacat post cushion started to fall apart a couple years ago.* Called WorldCat.* They didn't know who made it but*thought XYZ might know, XYZ*sent me to ABC, who*thought I should check with*Rhonda Willis at Custom Marine in NewBern NC and dang if the post on my Seacat was not*one of theirs.** They still make the exact post and gladly sold*me a perfect fit replacement cushion.**

Did Stratos make all their cushions in house or farm the work out?** If they farmed it out somebody knows who they used.** Track down the old timer and ask.

Canvas USA. or like Arctek said, you are basically looking at an upholstery job for your boat. Just like the seats in your car.

I had one made for my leaning post last year. Cost me $65 for one custom fit to my post. Call some canvas shops.
