Trailer winches Fulton vs. D&L Just a little review. I replaced my overworked 2500 pound Fulton winch last week with a 3200 pound D&L winch. My Fulton had actually started to distort its shape even though it well within the rating for my boat. The D&L is so much nicer. The side plates are considerably thicker and gears as well of course. Very very smooth. The handle is a quick release that you move from one post to another for high and low gear. This allows them to build the winch on a narrower frame with less moving parts making it stronger. If you in the market for a winch, check them out. I paid $120 from my local trailer dealer which was a pretty good price as it turns out.
Last night I loaded up and I could definitely feel the difference. No play in the handle or gears like all the Fultons I have had. |
