Re: Were is the best place to buy boat parts and supplies I've bought stuff from the ones you've mentioned. Also Star Marine Depot, which tends to have great prices on electronics.
A great resource I find is Ebaymotors.com and the Parts And Accessories/Boat Parts area. You have to be careful, because a lot of those sellers try to get a higher price than you can find from the store, but if you've done your shopping around, take a look there. I've bought lots of stuff on Ebay.
Being the cheap guy I am, I often look at the West Marine and Boater's World sites first, then verify that the same product isn't available through Walmart (which can't be beat), and then do a google search for the product I'm looking for, either specifically (i.e. Northstar M84) or generally (color fishfinder chartplotter). Knowing the price at WM and BW obviously gives you a basis for determining if the price you're looking at online is better. Also, if you haven't bought on Ebay before, BE SURE TO LOOK AT THE SHIPPING CHARGES!!! One tactic used by sellers there is to show a cheap price for purchase then hammer you on shipping.
I also look at the basic stores, like Cabela's and Overton's, but if I'm still not satisfied I see no reason why not to do a Google search for something like "discount marine electronics" and check out the results.
