Default WTB: Contender rear seating

I was wondering if anybody had or knows where I can get a used or new foldup rear seat for the stern of a 27 contender. Thanks,Mark S.

Mark: I have a foldup rear seat that I took out of a 31 Jupiter. I don't have the upholstery work, but I do have the aluminum framework. On a Jupiter, the seat back mounts to the top of the transom area. Track down a Jupiter and see if it looks like it would work for you. I'd measure it for you, but the seat is in California and I won't be back there for a week and a half.

I don't use the rear fold up seating in mine. It has been in the garage for the last 4 years. PM me an offer if you are interested. It is all white canvas

I have a 2000 25 Contender that came from the factory with the rear seat. I removed it(and the hardware) one year after I bought it. It's been under my spare bedrooms bed since. Upholtery is white with a center stripe of Flag Blue(super dark Blue), and a red stripe on each side of that Blue center one. Email me at mart344@bellsouth.net if interested. I don't check this site often but I do my email. The 25 and 27 are the same beam etc..., it shoudl fit perfect.

I second that. Bluewater has their rear seats made by them(Birdsall) and I am pretty sure you can have it installed in any CC provided there is enough room.

My buddies 25 has a simple backrest that slips into a couple rod holders to make the entire livewell transom area a seat. It is super nice. But if the livewell was used, your axx would be soaked. if you don't use the livewell much, that's what I would do. Cheap, removable, and the most comfortable, and the least cockpit area robbing. His boat was rigged by Fred Herman, so maybe Fred came up with this.
