I am sure this has been discussed, but someone with experience please educate me on BoatPix. They now require a credit card before you can see your pictures. If you return them, is there any charge at all to the Buyer? Has anyone used this new (or newer) system of ordering from them? Thx.

yes they mail you the pix and if you keep them then they charge your card if you send them back then they dont. good company.

I'll let you know if a week or two. I put in a request for photos a few weeks ago but haven't received the pictures yet.

Bradv - If you send them back, no charge....nada? I have bought before, but never had to give cc until I received pictures. Have you inputted your cc number recently, received pictures and then sent them back? Did they charge anything? I just want to be sure and would love to hear from anyone that ordered and did not keep the pictures in the past few months. Thx.

I bought 2 of the three that I was sent. I was only charged for the 2 that I kept. They did not charge my card till I told them what I wanted. I remember there is a time limit to send them back. If you do not return within x days you will be charged. Worked fine for me.

Call them they should email you the pics with watermarks on them. Heard you can negotiate price with them but didnt try it.

I will call them but would feel better if there was some information on their site that makes it clear what the terms are. I would feel even better if I heard from someone that received pictures and returned them all. Thanks for the responses.

I returned them all. The photos were good, but not 100 gal of gas good. No charge from Boatpix, they were very professional - too bad they didn't offer a price / size that would have worked for me. (I would have paid them a reasonable fee for an 8x10)

Check with them but I thought they now charge a shipping fee like $25 if you do not purchase.......

i got them a year ago and sent them back with no charge to my credit card just could'nt justify the price for a photo

I couldn't believe how good the pictures turned out for us. We spent a few hundred dollars buying pictures of our boat.

I have used their service before. They did require a cc #, but it was not charged as I returned them on time. I could not justify the price they ask for the pics, however, I can not imagine what it cost to fly those heli's around. Call me a pirate, but I unrolled those beautiful pics in the sun and zoomed in with my digital. The pics look excellent and it did not cost me a dme. I do not condone this kind of activity, but it did work for me
