Grunden's are great ... not breathable mind you, but you won't get wet from the outside .
Stumbled upon this the other day ... only $35 for #40 Grunden Briggs Jacket or #116 Clipper Bibs, $15 for their So'Wester hat, see here:
The FABRIC in the BRIGGS #40 Parka and the CLIPPER #116 Bib Pants is a heavy cotton twill base material (4.7 oz. per yard), coated with a specially formulated PVC (10.9 oz. per yard) for a total weight of 15.6 oz. per yard.

In your search be advised there are different degrees of Grundens - some have more layers of rubber than others. Go to their website before you purchase so you can see what is available.
Here is an alternative to Grundens that are favored by the folks who race sailboats (who can get really wet).
Great quality foulies, and they breathe too.
Personally I like this particular set of Grundens http://www.go2marine.com/frameset.js...nlineStore.jsp tried all the different types of grudens, this style isnt lined on the inside, thus odors won't tend to create a stinky situation. It also drys quickly, has a rip stop fabric, and is double reinforced, its the longest lasting set of foul weather gear i've owned.
