I've been looking through threads for a clean rigging install on an older 'Rude. Here's what I have. I'm rebuilding a '79 Mako 20b. I've got two motors. One primary, 175 and a 'Rude 15 hp kicker. Both are on the transom. Here's a couple of shots before the de-rigging.
I changed the rigging boot area due to the water into the bilge so easy. I will be mounting the new setup on the side of the splashwell.
Closed up the old rigging holes.
Here's what I'm worried about.
1. Finding a clean rigging method for BOTH motors. Will have to be separate I think.
2. If I rig both motors from the starboard side, nearest the kicker, will it be too much a bend to be effective controling the kicker cables?
3. I have already ran the electrical wires from console to bilge in the port tube. I want to run fuel and control in a seperate tube on the starboard side. Should I run two rigging hoses or? for each side?
4. How do I terminate the rigging hoses thats clean?
I know this is a lot but I have been chewing on this for a while. Thanks, Greg
Any suggestions are WELCOME!
