A paid advertiser. Im not trying to spam, just providing good video of fish boats for all to view.
Check out the rest of the fish boat vids on the Fountain video page, we are creating new videos all the time that highlight the boats along with their benefits and features.

I heard this boat has a "new" hull. Can you tell me what changes Fountain made to it over the original hull. Did they sharpen the bow entry any ?

Also would Fountain build a fiberglass hardtop as opposed to the soft tops they now use ?

Fountain came out with a hardtop option for their center consoles last year during the Miami boat show. Doesn't look like it's an option for the sportfish cruisers, just the CCs...

From what I hear, Reggie doesn't generally like the hardtops because of the added weight which slows you down. I've also heard that the hardtops don't flex enough for the pounding they take at Fountain's high speeds, and so they can develop those dreaded spiderline cracks in the gel. But plenty of other high performance fishing boats have hardtops so that can't really be the reason. I'm sure the real reason is the slightly diminshed speed resulting from the extra weight.

It is a ad from a boat builder for free, not right or fair.

I just did a sea trial on a 2007 Fountain 33SFC with 275 Verados in Maryland yesterday. Liked the boat. WOT averaged about 50-52. Calm seas, 150 gallons fuel, 2 people. lite load. Boat has a great layout.
I think the best in its class. I wish I had the $$$$ for the 2009 model with the 300 Verados and the change to the hull. Fountain advertises that the boat has a WOT of 58MPH. I believe they changed the chime a little. I'm sure it would only be noticeable if you were familiar with both models. The 2007 felt good to me. I would have liked to take it out in the ocean, but that was too far from where we were to give it a true test. It turned very nice at 30MPH.
In my opinion, and I'm new to playing with trim tabs and engine tabs, the boat has to be dialed in correctly to get max performance with the step hull. I'm sure after a week or two, one would have the boat figured out, and obtain the right settings.
The fish boxes are very big, the cabin is plenty big for my needs. Seating is nice if you have a few friends on board. And the seats fold away so you can obtain max fishing space. Helm layout for 2 screens is tight, they should have made it wider to be able to handle duel screens. Overall, I really like the boat.

Faster than a Grady 33 but both boat cruise at about 30 MPH and at that speed get about the MPG.

A lot more used Grad
