I just finished doing a bunch of work on a c-dory for a client . . . miscellaneous rigging, upgrades and repairs. This had to be one of the cheapest built boats I've ever worked on. Don't see how it can be compared to a Rosborough. Customer also says it pounds like hell. Boats have a lot of devotees but I wouldn't take one anywhere other than across a small bay or lake.

Canuck, this thread is from over a year ago.

I looked at a new 22' C-Dory this summer. These are very simple craft, which is both bad and good. For me, the biggest downside was that the brand changed ownership this year and there is no warranty coverage for existing boats.

Some flatter bottom boats will pound in a rough sea at speed, but will provide a much smoother ride with the tabs down and at a much slower rate of speed. For speed and a smooth ride in rougher seas, a sharper V bottom is needed.

Default cape doey vrs. sisu

Since sisu is out of business and a new outfit is now building them, are they called rosborough? One of my main concerns is how bad do these boats roll in a cross sea?
