Cool boat but no rod holders. Here is another pretty good deal I saw. Have no idea who the owner is and have not seen it in person.

That is a great buy on a 31 Contender - maybe too great. A prospective buyer needs to be very careful buying any pre-2005 boat coming out of Louisiana or Mississippi, as they may have been a Katrina victim boat.

that boarding ladder/hull door situation is jus tasking for trouble...it would be fairly ugly if sombody didn't secure that properly before getting underway!

Wow...thats the first time I ever saw anything like that hull door. I can't imagine any purpose for that except to get into the cabin when the boat is on the trailer. I'm sure you don't want to use that for swimming or entering while beached, the last thing you want in that beautiful cabin is sand and water.

Maybe an escape hatch? But there should be hatches on the foredeck right?

Half price for a new boat sounds good to me if I was looking for something like that.

I agree on the door...looks scary. Theres a pic on their website of the boat beached with the door open. I dont know how the door is constructed but I bet its well designed. Lots of comercial airliners flying around with doors in the sides that dont pop open so it can be done I suppose. Pretty cool if thats what your into. Different strokes...
