Default The New Boat Delivery Gone Terribly Wrong.....

Got this e-mail today maybe some of you have already gotten it but thought I would share it anyway.........

The yacht delivery...

Lets set the scene first:-
One 65' custom-built motor yacht replete with 4 staterooms, state-of-the-art galley,
GPS System and navigation radar, twin supercharged diesel engines, etc.
Cost:........................................ $4,500,000..00
Being prepared for maiden launch. Crane transfer from quayside to water.

Other costs :->
Crane + rigging + labour engaged for 2 hours............................................. ...= $2,500.00

Champagne, chocolate-covered strawberries with cream ...................= $300.00

Music dockside for 'soon-to-be-owners' and a small group of friends.... = $500.00
Photographer to capture the happy moment............................................ ......... = $350.00

...and then...... >>>
>>>>>
>>>>>
>>>>

LOOK AT THE GUY HOLDING ON IN THE TRANSOME STAIRWAY !!!!

Watching from quayside as a ( $55.00 ) faulty turnbuckle on the
hoisting rig collapses & ..............
your dream boat nosedives into the harbor with two corporate
representatives [ one in the bridge and the other seen 'hanging' in the stern ]
performing the handover routine just prior to inking the final paperwork...
PRICELESS!

WOW

Hey, I hadn't seen it before! Thanks pbr! Some of these guys must think everyone on THT reads every single post. Given the way threads systematically filter off, I would think that there are quite a few posts that do not get read by even the most avid "forumite." You would have to be a total meep with no life to sit around and read this stuff all day.

Great Post!

been here a few years, never seen it either.....funny as hell!! I'd like to meet the summer dock hand that was probably "supposed" to check those shakles each week or something like that as a routine safety check.......but that guy has probably moved on to working at Blockbuster!!!

Funny pic, screw all the nay-sayers!!!

Do you think the crane operater was clinched up when all the tension on the cable was suddenly released?
