Default Any Tidewater CC owners in NJ

I am considering a Tidewater, either 196 or 216, but the closest dealer is 6 hours away. I was wondering if there are any owners around the Jersey Shore that would allow me to take a look at their boat. It is hard to judge from the photos on the web site.

Thanks,
Roy

Can't help you with location, but I can say there's a significant difference with the 216 vs. 196. We shopped both and chose the 216. Love the boat. If you're considering fishing offshore in Jersey, I'd definitely go with the 216.

Good luck.

I can tell you that i know nothing about the boat except visiting their web site a bunch of times. I admire the look and have read a lot of positive posts here about the quality. As a 24' bay boat owner and from experiance i am certain it is not for offshore use unless its a perfect west wind day. I used to be a 21' bay boat owner and the Barnegat bay is doabe for a 21'er but a lot of the time its even too rough for that.

That bay is a real PITA. All the traffic always has that bay rough as can be. Conch, thanks for the reply about the 216. I just don't know if the wife would let me drop another 9k on the boat. I guess it is worth a try.

Conch, do you go to Key West a lot. I know they call themselves the Conch Republic down there. I love that place.

Pastaman, I love the look of that Skeeter. Where do you have your boat in the Banegat bay? I am in Bayville, right across the bay from Tice's shoal.

My wife's cousin used to rent a house on the lagoon in Chadwick beach. Nice area.

If I ever get my boat I will look for that skeeter on the water. Thanks for you replies.
