Another repower ?
Ive searched back 1 year and still have many questions on a possible repower. I have a 2004 evinrude 175 di on a 2004 21 striper wa. Its now out of warranty and while a good motor with 300 hours, I want a bigger motor with warranty. Max hp is 225 so Im thinking a 225 e-tec so I can reuse my controlls. Pricing at eds is pretty good at 14,500 or 13,300 for the 200. Ive read that rigging yourself can void warranty? Im going shopping locally but want to know as much as possible before I do so. Im having trouble finding out recent warranty length on different brands as well as what new rigging will cost if I choose a different brand. I also wonder how I should sell/trade my old motor and how much its really worth with/without rigging. I am searching for a good place to do business with locally around the southern N.H. area, if anybody can recommend someone, Im all ears. Any info would be appreciated, I know their are variables but someone with real world exsperience in these matters would help me alot. Thanks, Chuck
