Default Wax or Polish for Awlgrip painted hull?

Boat was painted a year ago, want to protect the Awlgrip/Awlcraft 2000 hull paint. Do I use a good quality wax or a good quality polish for protecting the hull? First painted hull I've owned, not sure what to use to protect this specific paint. Thanks for any info.

Awlgrip makes thier own sealer, it's really the onlything you should use. Don't use wax it will yellow the paint.

Awlcare from Awlgrip. It's so easy to apply and remove.

I painted my boat 6 years ago and twice a year I use Awlcare. The boat looks like the day I sprayed it.

What everyone else said. Read the instructions on their website for taking care of the paint. Awlwash and Awlcare is it. It is way better than gelcoat. I have a painted 18 Parker and a painted 21 Parker. Both look great and it is easier than gelcoat to maintain.

Just an FYI, wax and polish are 2 different products for 2 different purposes. Polish is just what is says, it will poish out scratches, oxidation, fine lines it does not offer any protection for UV or anything else. Polish is the last step before wax if polish is needed. Wax on the other hand is to protect you finish from UV, abrasion, and so on.

Yes you are correct mirage, however if you want your Awlgrip paint to look like complete piss go ahead and use a regular wax and polish. You are ONLY supposed to use Awlwash and Awlcare to clean and polish Awlgrip paint.

I said nothing about using it on awlgrrip. I was simply informing the OP who did not appear to realize the difference.
