Default Need Help 1999 Yamaha 175
I need some info on a 1999 Yamaha 175 Saltwater Series II which is precision Blend. I don't know anything about this motor and would like to know if this is a carb or fuel injected motor? What kind of compression numbers should I be looking for? Also is it a sound motor and how is it on gas. I'm looking at a 1980 GW 205 Gulf Stream boat and any info about the boat would also be helpful.

great carbed motors and you should get around 105-120. IF there is more than 10 % difference in comp horizontally between cylinders stay away from it.
