Hey, I think I've seen the Happy Jack floating around the Magothy. Glad to see the Judge is finally getting built. You've been jonesing for that rig for a long time!

oh sure, I remember that you sold your Maycraft. Don't mind me at all, I was kidding about the printing business... I sincerely enjoy your posts and wish you well with your new Denton darlin'.

B- The speed numbers are just about right. On a calm day I can trim her out to about 35-36 mph wot. In the rough stuff we drop her back to about 22-24 mph and trim the bow down. Smooth and dry!

B, don't base your opinion of the Garmin fish finder on the GSD20. The GSD22 digital and 42xx fishfinder is markedly better, even with a 500W transom ducer.
Re: Here comes the Judge! --- 27 Chesapeake that is...
I called Jim at http://www.boemarine.com and ordered the Garmin with the GSD22 today.. Also ordered a Standard Horizon Quest - X VHF northstar fiuel flow meter and some stereo stuff.
name will remain "B-Faithful" as that is who we have become. Being the youngest, my daughter Victoria will be spoiled rotten anyhow. my two older ones get the name honor for dealing with her. Besides they suggested naming our sunfish sailboat or Kayak after her.. How about the Victoriak... i have thought of the name "Fish FIBS" (daughter Faith, dog Isabelle, Son Brennan, and wife Sandy) but it wouldnt be who we are.
Also, Aug has been a slower month here in the printing biz. if any of you biz owners need any printing materialsl (catalogs, brochures, labels, direct mail packages, etc) give me a shout. I will give you a fishing trip on the Judge

I have all "canvas" on my boat in black. It does not show the dirt and stains .I would paint the bottom black[if you will be docking her].The contrast with the white hull, all black enclosures and your silver Honda will look sharp and not like a carnival boat.

Re: Here comes the Judge! --- 27 Chesapeake that is...
Thanks for the kind words fellas. I just got back from a trip with the wife for our 10 year anniv. I will try to either get Judge to email me photos this week or make a trip over there myself to check the status. I was told late last week that "the roof was on". I am not sure if that means the cap is on the hull or they added the extended hardtop to the cap.
I decided to go with dark navy blue accents with royal blue bottom paint like the photo below. I will do the name on the side in Navy blue with a slight drop shaddow that is lighter to somewhat go with the bottom paint. (mine will have a full swim platform bracket too)

If I had not moved to florida I was ready to buy the same boat for the bay. I would have kept the pathfinder for shallow water fishing and used the Judge for the bigger part of the bay. They are one nice boat.
