Default 21CC w/150 Ocean Pro 150 mpg??

I was wondering what you guys with this particular set-up are getting for mpg ? The last few tanks of fuel I have been averaging 2mpg. I suppose if I baby her more I could see 2.25-2.5 but I doubt it. I do not have a flow scan so was just wondering if anyone is getting any better. This 150 has been a great reliable engine and if I don't sell her she should see many more hours as it only has approx 300 +/- hours on her. The hull weighs approx 2750 lbs and I believe another 375 with motor, add 1/2 fuel, gear and she is pushing in the neighboood of 3600 lbs. I went from a three blade aluminum prop to a 4 blade s/s which gave me a better cruise, and handling.

Boat does not have a T-Top at this time so I imagine I will lose a bit when I install one ?

Anyone have this set-up with an Evinrude E-tech 200 HO, Optimax 200 or Yamaha 200 Hpdi ? Fuel burn ?
Thanks,
Joe

2 MPG at cruise sounds about right for that boat and carbureted motor combination.

If you only have 300 hours on the engine in 9 years it would be pretty tough to justify
repowering based on fuel savings.

For what it's worth, my lighter McKee Craft 196 with a Yamaha 150 HPDI would get 4 MPG at cruise.

I am running a 97 ocean pro 150. The boat weighs in on a normal load at around 2800 lbs total. My flow scan shows an average of 3 mpg at 3K, and 4K.

I have a 21 CC w/ a 2003 Johnson 175 2 stroke carb. I get 2.2-2.4 in ideal conditions 2 people 1/2 to 3/4 tank, minimal tabs, optimal trim w/ a 17p Silverado prop.
