Default Hard Water Spots

Hello Everybody
does anyone know what I can use to clean the hard water spots from my 25 Grady White windsheild and side windows. I've tried everything, Lime away, CLR, scraping with a razor but I can't seem to get my glass clean, Does anybody else have this problem? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

FWIW...I use the Mr. Clean AutoDry system on my boat... on the vinyl curtains and plastic especially...It works great...I wash the boat normally, then hit is with the soapy solution, rinse and then use the filtered water and the results are great...

Check out Aquatech water spot remover. We use it exclusively on the 124' Broward. Works great.

I'm surprised Lime-A-Way didn't do it. Try spraying it onto a paper towel and lay it on the windshield for a few minutes. Then wash with lots of water.

Don't know where you operate or if you cover but good chance it is acid rain.

Thanks for all responces, I just bought the boat from a guy in North Carolina, I live on the shouth shore of Long Island. I've tried all of your sugesstions but the damm spots are sill there. I can deal with it but I have to say when you are heading in to sun the glare is very hard to see through. If I find a cure I will post. Thanks again to all of you

The spots may be etched into the windshield. If this is the case you will find that they vanish when you clean them, but quickly come back in the same patterns and in the same places.

Many things can cause this. Exposure to excessive sun, acid rain, flaws in the material, age, and so on.

If this is the case, then you MAY be able to polish them out. Assuming your windshield is made from plastic / acrylic. Use a polish designed for the material.

If this does not work you may have to replace them. Or learn to live with the splotches.
