Default check engine light

can anyone help with this one? I just installed a 2000 225 opti and the check engine light stays on .. according to the manual I have on cd this could be a sensor, a coil or an injector ,the engine seems to be running smooth . I found a two pronged male plug on the starboard side of the engine that isn't plugged in to anything and can't find a female counterpart . I am getting 4.7 volts from the plug which has 1 white and 1 blue wire ...I am thinking this goes to a sensor but cant figure out where .does anyone have an idea? Thanks
