Default contender wedges

2004 27 Open with F225's The transom wedges prevent the engine from being tilted completely up and over due to contact between the steering and transom cap.

Does anyone have a fix short of raising the engines?

I'm stumped.

how many holes do you have left to raise the engine?
Those motors should already be 1 from the highest setting, if not the highest already.

Pictures would help though.

At one time I had my motors down low and I had the same problem. I raised my motors to the second hole form the top for performance reasons, but it cured that problem too. As Ken says, your motors should probably be up there too.
