A local dealer here carries them but I haven't read anything about them. The walk arounds look nice. What's the scoop?

I bought a R235 W/A new in 2004. Love the boat. Solid, well built in every aspect. Well worth the money.

Robalo makes a good upper mid-tier boat. I think that they are a great boat to buy used because (for whatever reason) they seem to depreciate in value quickly... this is probably due to the fact that they do not have the cult following that Sea Craft, Regulator, GW type boats have.

Build quality on par with higher end boats, they are not cheap by any means new. True they don't hold as high a resale as a Contender etc. but not far behind. Especially boats produced in the past decade. Older models held up very well and as long as you dont have a saturated foam situation which occurred once in awhile as they do with Boston Whaler and other foam filled boats the older ones are often the great deals.

Very good boat, they feel like a fishing-cruiser cross to me.

When I started looking for a 23 walk around a couple of years ago I looked at the Robalo and really liked it. The boat I was looking at was used and had a surveyor. Just too many things wrong (owner's fault) and not Robalo. I did like the size of the cuddy, but wanted more room to fish. Since I was not going to sleep on board, I figured the larger fishing area was more important. Ended up buying a Grady. I think either way you will have a good boat. Dwain

My final decision was down to three boats. A 2005 Century 2600 WA w/ 250 hrs, a leftover 2006 new Robalo 245 WA with 0 hrs, and a 2005 GW 265 Express with 190 hrs. They were all about the same price give or take and all had decent reputations, with little negative about the Robalo. I liked the Robalo alot and heard very little negative about it. I ended up with the 265 Express because of the wider beam, more fishing room, and enclosed head (typical woman - doesn't want to sleep with the porta potti under her LOL).

I have a 26' Center Console Robalo with twin Yammie's F250's and must say that I'm very happy with the boat so far.
Nice and heavy smooth ride. You realy get what you pay for. The details on the boat are nicely finished.

I have an '08 R227 which is a dual console with an F250. I've been very pleased with it so far with no major problems. The newer boats are very well built hulls with good components. I bought this boat to be a family boat with fishing/cruising/skiing and other watersports all being on the agenda. Hull is heavy which makes it ride great but does slow it down a bit from other lighter boats. As shown above, www.robaloboatowners.com is a good site for specific questions about new and old models. Good luck with your search.
