Default Anybody went from 2 stroke to BF150?

Looking to see how the torque is compared. I have just sold my bay boat with Merc 150 XR6 and the new boat (Marathon 196) has a BF 150. The hulls are not much different in weight (although one is a bay boat and the other is a deeper vee), but the BF 150 seems a bit sluggish on hole shot. Top end is decent. The Honda is running a Powertech 15.25-17-3, which is what Honda tested on this boat.

Any other experiences would be greatly appreciated.

Put a 4 blade propeller on that engine and you will be happy.

I saw your earlier post and I wouldn't think the BF150 would have the stones to turn a 15.25" wheel. I would think something like a 14.25" X 18 would be more appropriate.

Thing is, does anybody other than Powertech of Solas make props for the 150's and up. I know that Michigan Wheel and Quicksilver build a powerful prop.
