Default Plastimo tank and water inlet?

I'm installing a Plastimo tank to replace a small 5 gal carry on tank, as well as installing a jabsco electric faucet to replace the pump faucet on my boat. Regarding filling the plastimo from an inlet (which I'll also be installing) - what happens when it is full? I plan to mount the tank in an area that pulling the hatch open and monitoring it's filling isn't going to be real convienient.. How do I know when it is full otherwise, and does it only fill to capacity and then no further if the water is still on at the inlet? These tanks don't seem to have vents, so seeing it pour out the vent line isn't going to really help (which makes me cringe when people do it when filling their gas).

Ok, I know I'm not the only one here who's installed a water tank and fill. Can someone speak to their install with a regular tank?

Sorry I didn't see this earlier. I just installed a 13 gallon Plastimo in the bow compartment of my 2101 Seaswirl Walkaround. It is plumbed to a shore adapter. I thought the tank would fill to capacity and then hold pressure equal to the city water. Not so. In a trial before installation I let it fill and it just kept getting bigger until it tore the outer shield. It has the water outlet/inlet (I use the inlet to fill since it connects directly to the water system) under the tank. On top is a filler port with a larger (1 1/4 inch IIRC) opening. This is how it is designed to be filled. Not with city water pressure. I'm making an adapter and venting the top port to a thru hull I can see from the City water inlet. When water comes out the overflow the tank is full and the city water shut off. Otherwise, you will have to fill the tank through the top port with a deck fill.

Awesome. Thanks for the info, that's exactly what I was looking for. Not only did you get the same size and brand tank, but I'm also installing this in the bow of a Seaswirl 21.
