Default Anybody Need Bob's Jack Plates??

Well, thanks for the brain storms and helping me to solve my Suzuki's not running dilema. Finally got the new rig to the water this morning (custom 27 foot V-Hull Aluminum). Now that the motors are running fine, I went to quarter/half throttle to start my break in and the damn props are blowing out Talk about trying to get the bugs out! I have brand new Bob's heavy duty jack plates. Dealer installed the top of the plates top level with the Euro transsome on my boat. There is no adjustment left to lower the engines, and, now that I look at it, both probably need to come down a good 3 inches or more. Maybe should have left the plates off given the Euro transome which acts like a Gill Bracket in any event. Any suggestions or like problems?? Looks like I will make someone a great deal on a new pair of Bob's Jack Plates if you need them.

They're manual. Dealer wants to try to lower the plates on the transome and tweak them before we do away with them. Guess I just as soon give it a shot.

Before you remove the jack plates, try a set of four blade props. I will bet they will stop the blow out problem.

My dealer spent 8 hours trying just that when I repowered and added one to my bay boat. Called me and begged me to let him remove it... I still can't understand why it wouldn't work, wasn't that important to me so, f- it...

Afishinado,
Did you take your plate off? I considering one for my Triton 240 LTS with a 250 Verado. Suggestions?, Anyone?
