gunnel mounts for plate alloy?

Have a welded aluminum offshore boat, gravois. The previous owner installed cheap plastic gunnel mount holders to the six trolling positions. I would like to replace w/ something a bit sturdier to prevent loss of 50w. What is my best option? Drag to a shop and have someone weld in holders or buy stainless steel and isolate with ____________?

The best and most costly solution is to weld in aluminium holders. I would buy S/S holders, thru bolt them using fibre washers and lanolin grease to keep the S/S and aluminiun from contacting.

Duralac is another product to prevent corrosion but I don't believe it is as good.

I would get them welded in. You still have cut the hole & alloy tube is cheaper than 316 SS. I have rod caps on mine which
prevent your reels getting scratched.
