Default Fighting Chair or Fighting Rocket Launcher

Guys,

I have a Grady 360. Cockpit is 96 sq ft and I mostly use it for offshore fishing. Would you guys recommenr a 4 rod launcher with as a fighting station or a small chair like the FFC130 in this page:

http://www.nauticaldesigninc.com/fight.htm

I like the tuckaway option on this one.

Thanks in advance

I have a scopinich battle station on my bow. It takes up very little space

check out the link

It works out great on a boat like mine. If its rough there is a strap that goes around your waste and locks you in. It swivels and adjust for height.
I highly recommend it.

I agree with PropBender, and installed a Tracy battle station on the bow for chasing blue fin.

Easy to install and fish from leaving your cockpit open.

I believe you are referring to the 36 Express since Grady does not make a 36 center console, so my opinion would be to go with a rocket launcher that you can then sit on and fight fish like the one in the link below. This way you save space in your cockpit, and if you want I believe that you can buy a table top to replace the rocket launcher for the nights when you are on a booze cruise.

It really depends on the kind of fishing you do. If you have a really big fish on, sitting on a rocket launcher will not be of much help. There is no substitute for the power in your legs. I would go for a chair with a rocket launcer back and stow the footrest off of the boat when not in use.

We have an FFC 130 with the rocket launcher back from Nautical designs. We found that you do not need the tuckaway design. As with other chairs when you move the footrest in towards the chair, the legs stick out of the back of the chair. With the FFC 130 the legs are inside of channels allowing the legs to be shorter while still having the benefit of being adjustable even for taller fisherman. With the footrest moved in, there is plenty of room to move between the chair and the transom fishbox. Good chair for the money.
We use this chair on the Jesus Freak, 34 Judge Express.

I dont want to steal the thread but,
I really want to get one of the fighting rocket launchers for the back of my 35 Strike Center Console. I have been looking for one for about 6 months with no luck. But, heres the twist I want o get one that needs to be refinished. I will redue all the teak, have the pedestal rechromed, and can do all the work my self. except for the chrome.

I think that one of these would look awesome and I fish for Marlin so I need a little more than a harness. WHERE CAN I FIND WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR IN FLORIDA. Any help please.

Definitely go for the launcher you will be glad you did. I had a 36 GW and a chair is too big.
