if you guys could only get one or the other what would you choose.
I know they are distinctly different. I am so far back in the dark ages I am still just using a loran. .any suggestions ? I guess what I'm asking is what is the best bang for the buck.
Chartplotter. Like Kirk said, you use it everyday. Basically an electronic chart version of your Loran based on latitude and longitude, course you probably already knew that. I seldom use my radar either. Maybe if my radar were a little more powerful though it'd be more useful....ie. to see birds.
Thanks guys..I didn't mean to post an electronics question over here ...shame on me
I geuss I'm going to be in the market for a chartplotter..any thing I should look for or stay away from? thanks again.
Chartplotter... It'll will end up being your most valuable fishing tool. Don't get careless and forget how to use a compass. You may lose power while your on the water.
