The dealers name you mentioned above (blank) is no stinking good. My dealer's name is (blank). Go to mine instead as he is a far better dealer than that scoundrel (blank) of yours.
One last thing: There is another dealer you also want to stay away from. His name is (blank).

I have found their Lanoka Harbor 'central branch' (formerly Pelican Harbor) to be very helpful with parts I needed in the past. Until they were bought out last summer. The last three times I called them, they had no one that even worked in parts on site. I realize that they just changed hands, but don't think parts were what they wanted to sell. This dealer was THE Boston Whaler dealer many cherished. I am not sure if they will keep up the reputation that they once had. The Manahawkin 'southern branch' is brand new, so I can not comment. If buying a whaler, I would go to the whaler forum. Many of those guys live in this area. By the way I never bought a bought from them, just parts and supplies.
As stated above - when Woody and Judy were the managers the place was Aces, Fantastic, Great, they couldn't help you enough. Then new manager and now a new owner ; all within a year! Who knows???
I hope those intitial responses don't leave you emotionally scarred for long, but I must admit I couldn't stop laughing (only because I've been there before).
Its all good.... I laughed at myself...... I am concerned about a few of the posts though....maybe its worth it to pay more at another dealer... Not sure... If anyone has more recent experiences , especially positive I would love to hear about them. Thank you all.
The comment about buying used if you plan on moving up is very sound advice. I would recommend that without hesitation. There are a lot of very good boats out there used that would provide you all of the service at one hell of a lot less in price. I have a hard time buying into the paying more for better service. I think any reputable dealer will provide the same quality service to all customers. How do they think people who have to move around the country get their boats and motors serviced? I've been moving for the past 27 years and if I found a dealership that wouldn't provide me quality service, I just took my business elsewhere. That's part of this great system of capitalism!
