Used Key West 2020 DC

Hello everyone, I'm a new poster who's read the forums off an on and I decided to join up now that I'm in the market for a larger boat.

I'm looking at a 2002 2020DC w/t a 2005, 4 stroke Honda 150 hp. From what I can gather, Key Wests have a solid reputation, I've also not heard much negative feedback on the Honda 150 hp either.


The boat would mainly be used for fishing inshore, bays inlets etc, but I am leaning towards a more family friendly boat than a CC, for summertime tubing, swimming, crabbing and cruising. The boat looks pretty fishable, and seems to be be somewhat family friendly, is it?

How much stock should I take in sites like nada.com as far as fair market value goes? The boat is nicely equipped with FF, Garmin GPS, VHF, hydraulic steering, bimmini top, covers, curtains etc. What's a fair price range for this rig? I know it's a buyer's market.

I'd appreciate any feedback or general comments on the boat or engine from those who had them or fished on them.

Here in New England the Key West 2020 dual console is a popular boat and that one would sell pretty quickly for $18-21K, including a trailer.

Nice combination, excellent engine and very good boat. NADA can be way off, depending on how popular a particular brand is in your area. However, due to the lousy used boat market, I'd be leaning towards the low retail value or less on most boats unless they were in mint condition. Don't forget that you will have to check the boat, engine, and trailer values seperately on most brands of boats.

My inshore boat is a Key West 1720....I have been impressed with it. Solid boats for the money and mine has been durable.
