Sideshift bow thruster, anyone have one?

My friend is researching the sideshift external bow thruster for his 27ft boat.
Docking is very tight and this would come in handy. Does anyone have any info or experience with these units?

You mean other than they are about the ugliest things ever concieved for a boat??

i was checking them out, no they aren't very appealing to the eye, and they are pricey about 2 grand looks like a 500 dollar rig to me
