Family Jewels is referring to Bob Collins. He does haul boats, more local than LD. I would guess he would be very expensive. He can usually be contacted through Ocean Beach marina at 732-793-7460 then follow the prompts to the service dept.

I would sugget Drew Pierson. I used him to bring my 26' boat up to Point Pleasant from Wilmington, NC. He is super honest and a good guy too. He's hard working and can use the $$. He has his own 18 wheler with a low-boy trailer. If you have a trailer, like I did, he puts that on the truck too. His number is 910-617-3739. Please tell him Scott with the Pursuit sent you. PS- I get nothing out of this, he was just a good guy that can use the work.

Hi H,D & S,
I had a 24'WA shipped from RI to Key Largo September 2002. Just do a search for boat haulers, there's quite a few out there.
Good luck

Fast, dry...

A friend had his Dusky 23 shipped from FL to NJ earlier this year. I'll ask him who he used. What did you get? New or used?

I just had a 27' boat transported from NJ to Miami. I can't remember the name of the company but their number is on my cell phone: 305-245-4524. They got it here a day early at a good price.

Based on the number fillamagilla gave (I did a reverse lookup), it goes to Custom Boat Transporters in Homestead, FL.

We sometimes use a a transport broker. A1-Haul-a-Boat. Do a google search on that name. Cheapest hauler I know of.

We use Joule Yacht Transport also for our Glacier Bay's. The GB's always arrive in great condition and there price is competitive. You can see them here http://www.jouleyacht.com/

Parapapam

If the boat is on its own trailer, the cheapest I have had a boat hauled by a legit insured hauler is $1.00 per mile.

Costs to have a boat hauled on a semi trailer usually start at $1.15 per mile and go up from there. Depends on size, permits needed for oversize ect.

Check out www.continuouswave.com (Boston Whaler site). Click on market place. There is a fellow who is hauling a boat from NJ to Florida, and is looking for a boat ta haul back to NJ.

Hope this helps, Dennis

There's a guy named Owen Purser in NC that has a hauler. Does a lot of oversized work for the Wanchese [read extremely high dollar] boys.

This guy moved my Jupiter from FL to NC and I cannot speak highly enough about him. Considerate, responsible, the most capable guy I've ever seen. Told me half his time is spent in NY/NJ.

Bottom line is my boat arrived almost ONE WHOLE DAY BEFORE HE HAD PROMISED IT, AND AT HIS QUOTED PRICE.

I can't find his damn phone number right now- email me if you are interested in him and I'll get it from my office.

Wish I could remember his name but I used a super great guy based in Solomons area of MD to haul my 32 in 99. He had a low boy, which we needed, & hydraulic trailers.

Our contracted hauler, Destination Bound, makes quite a few trips north and is always looking for a boat to help complete a load. We have a small dealer in Waretown, NJ. and most of his loads are short where the hauler is looking for another boat to go north. I suggest you give them a call at 321-453-0205, speak with either Tom or Sarah Williams.

Fast, Dry...

My buddy used Millers Marine in Tolchester, MD to transport his new Dusky 233 Open from Fl to NJ. One thing I would recommend if you are buying a new boat is to get down there when its complete and have a good look at it, that way you can adress any issues before it ships. We picked ours up. I remember it cost around 700 for me and my brother in law including hotels and meals. We left on Wednesday and were back on Sunday.

Good luck,
Scott
