Default Trim limit switch/trailer switch question

My TL switch seems like it is in working order, but when I go up enough to where i need to flip the trailer switch to get the outdrive all the way up to trailer, I get nothing, everything was working fine, just doing last minute checks before putting it in the water next week, my guess is the toggle switch in the dash because the limit switch seems to be doing its job properly, i even took it off so it would let the drive trim all the way up with out the trailer switch, which it did fine. Am I headed down the wrong road looking at the trailer switch and not the switch? Thanks Mercrusier with Alpha 1 Gen2.

You're probably in the right area. There are only 2 solenoids, up and down. The trailer switch should directly activate the 'up' solenoid. If you can trim up, then the solenoid and pump are obviously working. That means its either the Trailer switch or the wiring particular to the switch. I vote for the switch.

I thought the trailer switch just bypassed the limit switch? I don't ever remember it raising the drive with trailer switch alone.

Yes, that's exactly what it does. So if he can tilt up until he hits the limit, everything is working except the trailer switch.

Turns out I knocked one of the wires off of the toggle switch in the dash, I just installed a new Lowrance and must have done it then. Also, now that it is working again, the trailer switch alone doest lift the drive both switchs must be used together on mine (to raise all the way, not regular range of trim)
