Painted trailer wheels and rust ???

Hi all, I am going to replace my trailer wheels and tires. I am looking at painted wheels, I now have galvanized. I know the painted will rust very quickly in salt water, but has anyone used a clear spray such as polyurethane or anything else with success? I like the painted look better. I only put the trailer in the salt water two times a year, but I still got rust on my old painted wheels. Thanks Mike.

If you want a nice look, try aluminum wheels. I think almost every painted wheel I've ever seen has at least a little rust on them. Galvanized doesn't look pretty but it last.
