I have read all the threads regarding bean bag chairs. I will be buying a couple. My question is (from experience) what shape is the easiest to sleep in or on?
We like the large wedge style. We can easily fit 3 of Pat's E-Searider bags across the transom and no one seems to have a problem falling asleep on the way back in. I have even spent the night on them.
I love the big tear drops well worth the money fosho..... like they said get with Pat & E-Searider bags and you will be good to go... 4-6ft 85mile run 31 Cape Horn 20-25mph 2 guys sleeping at the stern WITH beers in hand and no spillage.... thats what I am talking about.

I hope I don't sound like a mo ron, but I looked at the wedge and teardrop and don't see much difference. Can someone splain me the difference and why you would pick one over the other. tx.
The wedge will give the user/the one sitting in it more height so as to be able to see over the gunwale easier as the bottom/base is narrower than the teardrop. I have a large wedge and when I lean back and "scrunch" the beans up I can get almost horizontal, like Business Class seating. I would get the large wedge again over the beanbag, easier to store for me and takes up less space in any case.
I was going to buy the E-searider bags but there is no local dealer that stocks them and I was concerned about size becasue I am very tall but have a narrow beam boat. Walmart got in some teardrop style bags so I bought two for $20 each to ry them out. Had to remove some beans to get them to squish down but other wise they are great. The are double zippered and seem like they are built well. Better than I would have expected. I dont expect them to last forever on the boat though but they are very long and skinny which is what I needed. When they fall apart, I will replace with the E-Seariders and now I have a good idea of what size will work for me.

my questions. I am sure these bean bags are great while underway. But when you do get to your fishing spot. As with all boat there is limited cockpit space. So where do you store them so they are out of the way? They aren't exactly small.

I am pretty tall and do well w/ the long necked medium tear drop.
The guys from e-searider go outof there way in the name of customer service. I wouldn't buy any other sort of bean bag.
For me this is just an inexpensive trial run to see if I will actually use them much. I have nothing against quality equipment. It always costs less in the long run.
From the replies that I received on this post, the shape doesn't matter--all of the designs are equally comfortable to sleep on. It appears to be a matter of personal preference and what fits the best on the boat.
The wedge is L shaped, more rectangular and is not as wide. The teardrop is basically just that, it has a wider foot print.
If we arn't going to use them for a while we throw'm in the cabin, for short periods we throw'm on top or in front if we're going to run and don't need'm.
