Just curious to see if Sansdefeat or Ron G got to try out this idea. What about it guys, any new thoughts or developments?

Sorry for the delay.I decided to put a pair on both motors when I found the only way to drill the holes was to pull the props! I would not give them a WOW but they definitely made a difference in the ride. They cut down and slowed down the rock and roll with no adverse side effects. The only problem was the pain I felt drilling holes in my Yammies!

RonG-

Sounds good so far.

Have you had the chance to see how it helps the handling in a quarter following sea or enen a full following sea?

Also, have you had the time to determine if it cuts your planing time, effects top end or midrange rpm speed, or has had other positive or negative impacts in overall performance and handling?

I appreciate your replies.

No boating this weekend.Graduation party.
I did not get in any real rough water last week but in a 1-2 foot chop the boat ran pretty much the same. Same top end etc. Just slowed the rock and roll. Hope to get out this weekend. Next weekend vacation starts (no computer).
P.S. I was told G.B. is putting doelfins on the new boats. Ronny.

In my last issue of Trailer Boat I read a Tech letter about "Planing Aids". They had responed that the SE Sport 300 Hydrofoils were the only ones they had ever tested that didn't decrease top speed like the others. I read this with great intrest because I have a pair on my 22' Pro Sports catamaran. We dive a lot from the boat and I wanted them more to keep people from banging tanks in to my SS Props. The boat does seem to get on plan quicker than it did, say around 3500 RPM vs. 4000 RPM. And I have not seen where they have affected my speed. I bought mine on sale at Bass Pro Shops for $30 each. Goodness knows I've spent a lot more on a lot less .

Hope this helps,

Dave
