Default Edgewater 20 new vs old

Edgewater redesigned the 18 and 20 hulls in '06.
Having been in the older boat but not seeing one of the newer ones ever (geographically challenged for access to Edgewater) can anyone comment on the ride of the new hulls.
Are they better or equal?
The price difference on the used market is HUGE between the old and new hull design in the 20 and 18, but maybe it's worth it.

Thanks,

I have a new design 20 and it is a 04. I think the 18 was redesigned in 06.
The new design is a great boat and there is a substantial price increase for 04 plus models. Well made, carbon grid, lifetime warrenty and upright flotation and rides
excellant.I wanted the new design when I bought because of resale and the
latest technology from Edgewater.Good company. Dan

Redesign for the 20 was before the 18, my bad. Both the "new" designs look like they have more flare, but less deadrise, if the pointy end is pointier then the ride could be better. Very heavy boats, which is probably why my 155CC was so smooth in chop. But then it went 37 with a 90!

Thanks for the input, the new prices are double the older boats, that could spell disaster in the used market, or it could bring the value of a 2002 boat up. Crap shoot really. Though the complete lack of used Edgewater 20's on the market makes me think they sell quickly when you want to move on.

Maybe 39k for a 2006 isn't such a bad deal.
