radio noise

I just installed a new am/fm/cd & amplifier on my boat. It sounds great, but I am getting alot of noise when I turn on livewell pump, washdown pump, etc. I used a shielded rca cable and tried to run it away from power wires as suggested but still alot of noise. HELP!

Do your amp output speaker wires run near those power wires?

use seperate grounds to batt for audio.

make sure you run a ground from the back of your head unit to a good ground source, you are probably grounding through your rca cables. even if you have your stereo ground hooked up, another ground from your radio chasis is still often needed to keep from getting a floating ground in your system.
