Default Going to paint my boat, need help.

I've decided to paint the Proline. It was a hurricane boat that I picked up, never sank but went into the woods pretty good. No structural damage, just cosmetic scrathes that I've been filling in. So I started sanding and filling, and now I've pretty much sanded the entire hull above the water line. I have no idea what I'm getting into (aside from the posts I've searched on here), but I'm also not scared to get into it. I guess my first question is:

- Is there anything better to use as filler besides Marine Tex?
- How deep do I sand? Am I just roughing it up or am I taking the entire gel coat off?
- What primer? What paint? Roll or spray? Etc.
- What color?

One thing I do have is time on my hands...

Thanks, been doing some research on the Interlux stuff. Still blows my mind that this stuff goes on with a paint brush and not a spray gun...
