Default Emergency water pump

Does anyone know what the aprox gal/min is necessary to run a big block V8 at say 1500 rpm? Is there a resource to find out usage a varoius rpms?

A 750gph pump yields 12.5 gal/min at zero lift and zero restriction. Assuming with lift and hose/fitting restrictions you can only obtain 50% rated flow, at what engine rpm do you begin to starve the engines cooling system? With some additional data we can adjust hose diameter (compared to length) to engineer a inexpensive system with a high rate of probable success.

you are correct - might only be good at low RPM but if I had a flush port I would try it, like you said the water pump is probably toast anyway

It works fine - at least in this case:

I have done it twice - naturally I came home at 1200 rpm....
