There are some owners of that hull over om www.greatgrady.com. They can give you some first hand impressions. In general, GWs and other medium Vs will not take a head sea as well as deep Vs such as Regulator, Contender, etc. They will be more stable at drift and anchor with less roll motion. It all depends on your wants and needs. They are well built and hold up over the years if cared for. GWs also have great resale value when iot is time to trade up. Good luck.

Gradywhite- I've looked at a few 247s powered w/twin f115s and I felt that it may be underpowered. What are your thoughts? Are 115s adequate or should I look for something with twin 150s?

The boat was a tad bit underpowered ,at the time I purchased the boat the F 150 s were not in production .with the 115 Yamahas the boat will cruise at 30 MPH .I made many trips 200 + miles and would average under 100 gals per trip the boat is super economical. If you are in the market for a great all around boat the 247 is a great choice.
