Default Twin 2 strokes vs 4 strokes for Dusky 233

Anyone running twin 4 strokes? Is the boat too stern heavy with that much weight on the bracket?
Thanks.

Are you looking at new boats or repowering an older one?

The new brackets for both twin and single are large and offer a lot of floatation. The bracket for a twin is different than a single to maintain buoyancy. Twins are no problem.

Good luck,
Scott

I'm thinking of getting a new one. I see threads on some CCs where people swear that the ride is better with two strokes because of the weight difference. I would think that brackets on new boats have sufficient floatation, I was just wondering if anyone had personal experience.

Don't know what horsepower you're looking at but a pair of suzuki 175's would do nicely on that boat and weigh only around 480 lbs each.

I regularly fish with a friend who has twin 4s Bombardier's on an 05 233. Even with my fat a$$ in the rear, no water through scuppers. Boat rides geat and is quiet.
