Default Performance report needed: Kencraft 206CC with an 2002 200 Yamaha OX66

What kind of performance would this rig produce? ~2100# hull, holds 90 gallons of gas, 19 degree dearise.

Looking for: WOT, cruise mph, gph at cruise, and gph WOT

I saw 50mph under perfect conditions on mine with a 200 etec. Looking back, I suspect the engine might be mounted a hole or two too low. Cruise was 30ish. WOT mpg was always over 2, usually in the 2.2 range. Cruise mpg was closer to 3, and sometimes over.

I think you're a little light on the weight. The gas tank is 88 gallons, and I think the deadrise is 18 at the transom.

^you sure your not talking about a 215? your numbers sound exactly like mine, except my mileage is worse(old motor).

I would expect the 206 to fly with a 200, like Cooper said I hit 50 WOT on my 215.

I'm with you on that one. A 2100# hull w/ 19 deg. deadrise should fly with a 200hp.
I top out at 50 mph on my boat thats 1900# w/ a 150 4-stroker. You know, the slowest engines on the planet.

I would think high 50's at least. Just my .02

Well he did say he thought his motor was mounted a lil low, could make a pretty good difference. To hit 50 I have to be in the river, alone, no gas. And its really prolly more like 47-48 mph now that I think about it.

my 206 with a '97 175 johnson cruises @4200 rpm right at 30-31mph. I'm getting about 2.2mpg there. i top out at 44mph burning a lot of fuel. i am not propped for top end and i could get a couple more mph out of it if i messed with it. with the 200 i would say you would cruise in the low 30s getting around 2.5mpg and top out 50-51. It will get better fuel economy than my carbed engine.

don't leave the inlet without trim tabs on that boat. they are a must.

I have a 2002 200hp OX 66 on a 21.5' hull with a 18 degree deadrise that weighs 3000 pounds empty. I have a 15 1/2 X 19 Prop. In November with the gas tank almost empty and just me on the boat I clock 47mph and 5000 rpm. I have my motor raised pretty well with the AV plate even with the keel line. My motor should be turning 5500 rpm with that light of the load so I am looking for a 17 pitch prop but I am sure with the lighter boat that you have you should hit the redline with a 19 pitch. That should easily get you over 50.

BTW - tell us about your prop. That is a big missing piece of information for your question.

23 foot AQUASPORT . 200 yam OX66. 19 x 15.5 IN PROP. 4000 lbs . 41 mph @ 4900. 19 in. deadrise. Overpropped. Moving to a 15 x15.5 and will be a bit underpropped, but will report this summer. I guess 42 @5500 rpm. We will see. She will hold seas @ 22 mph I bet.
