RE: 36 Jersey Cape I spent three days fishing on one as a charter. It was very well laid out, solid, and comfortable. The only issue was that it was noisy even for an express. That is something you could fix on a newly-ordered boat by specing more soundproofing or perhaps going to underwater exhaust. Also the boat I was on had mechanically controlled engines, which would make it noisier than a newer boat with common rail Diesels. The ride was good, though the conditions were pretty moderate while I was on board so I can't say what would happen in rough seas. I don't recall us taking any spray at all but the seas never got over 3 feet so not much of a test (though I know from experience that a 31 Cabo would have taken spray in the same conditions)
